Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description

Qualified candidates for the Water Resources Engineer position must have 3+ years of Civil Engineering design experience. This includes knowledge of local/county government, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia guidelines and permitting processes for storm drainage design, Civil Site Design, Grading, sediment & erosion control, Roadway Plan and Profile, Water and Sewer Design. A licensed professional engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering is required. The role requires familiarity with project contractual requirements and experience working effectively as a liaison with Regulatory Agencies, General Contractors, and Owners. Some experience with project development/management is desirable. Excellent computer skills, including CADD/Civil 3D and/or MicroStation design software along with Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), are necessary. This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Lanham, Maryland and some days remote.

Work Environment

80% Office (Crew allocation/management, budget, schedule, client updates and meetings, internal updates and meetings)20% Field (QA/QC of final job, checking in on crews weekly, salaried position with no overtime)Laid-back small company feel, working side by side with the Survey DepartmentSUE group based out of Baltimore, MD office.
