Job Description
We are looking for an Entry-Level Civil or Environmental Engineer who will work on a variety of solid waste projects. This role involves providing design support for landfills and landfill gas systems, permitting, construction plans, and construction oversight. While the position can be hybrid when not required to be in the field, it will include long field days that offer great learning opportunities.
ResponsibilitiesAssist other staff in overseeing drilling activities involving probe and well installation, borehole logging, well development, well construction, monitoring, and sampling.Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations and similar construction inspections for compliance with design plans, specifications, and construction quality control reviews on work products before submission to the Project or Task Manager.Work with the Project or Task Manager to coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients.Compile data and help prepare portions of reports, progressing towards the ability to prepare complete reports, such as environmental site assessment, emissions monitoring, groundwater/soil investigation, compliance, and other project reporting.Help prepare permit applications and regulatory agency submittals and responses with supporting documentation, including research of regulatory requirements.Compile data and prepare basic calculations for reports and to support design documents or other studies.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Must have at least 3+ months of civil engineering or internship experience.Interest in obtaining E.I.T. certification in the near future.Basic understanding of wastewater distribution.Proficiency in Civil Engineering principles.Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3DProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Technical report writing skills Additional Skills & QualificationsLandfill experience.Wastewater experience.Work Environment
This is a hybrid position that requires the candidate to be in-office at least once a week. The team consists of about 10 engineers located in Phoenix. The role requires spending 50% of the time in the office and 50% in the field. The candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds and walk through rough terrain on a weekly basis.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $32.69
