The Tacala development team is responsible for site selection, real estate, due diligence, planning, design, legal, leasing, and construction management. The members of this team include real estate professionals, attorneys, civil engineers and construction managers. A successful candidate must be willing to join a highly motivated team with extensive knowledge of development and willing to learn parts of the entire process. Job Responsibilities: • Work within the development team and with permitting agencies across the southeast • Prepare and review engineering plans, construction documents, maps, reports, construction cost estimates and other project related items • Design projects that include site layout, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control, and traffic control plans • Perform drainage and hydraulics calculations • Attend project meetings and design review meetings • Provide technical guidance and oversight to team members as needed Training / Experience • 3-5 years Design Experience required • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related field • P.E. required from the State of Alabama, Georgia or Tennessee or obtainable within 2 years • Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D • Experience with drainage programs such as Hydrology Studio • Strong analytical skills and good technical writing ability • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work well with coworkers and contractors • Strong working knowledge of general civil engineering principles
