Job Title: Civil Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with over 5 years in civil site design, land development, or related fields. The ideal candidate will be proficient with software like AutoCAD, HydroCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other hydraulic modeling tools. A strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and stormwater design and management is essential. The candidate will develop and review site plans, conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments, perform hydrology and stormwater management calculations, and oversee all stages of site development projects.

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review site plans, grading, and drainage designs.Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.Perform hydrology and stormwater management calculations.Oversee all stages of site development projects, from concept to completion.Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and resource allocation.Coordinate with contractors, architects, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment.Ensure designs adhere to local, state, and federal codes and regulations.Prepare documentation, applications, and reports for permits and approvals.Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure design specifications are followed.Troubleshoot on-site issues and propose solutions in real time.Draft detailed engineering reports, specifications, and contracts.Prepare drawings and layouts using AutoCAD 2022, Civil 3D, or similar tools.Serve as the primary technical contact for clients.Present project proposals, updates, and final deliverables.Essential SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD, HydroCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, and other hydraulic modeling tools.Strong understanding of grading, drainage, utility design, and stormwater design and management.Familiarity with zoning, land use, and environmental regulations.Experience in developing and reviewing site plans, grading, and drainage designs.Ability to conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.Experience in performing hydrology and stormwater management calculations.Ability to oversee all stages of site development projects.Experience in preparing and managing project schedules, budgets, invoicing, and resource allocation.Experience in coordinating with contractors, architects, and stakeholders.Knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and regulations.Ability to prepare documentation, applications, and reports for permits and approvals.Experience in conducting site visits and monitoring construction progress.Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting on-site issues.Ability to draft detailed engineering reports, specifications, and contracts.Experience in preparing drawings and layouts using AutoCAD 2022, Civil 3D, or similar tools.Strong communication skills to serve as the primary technical contact for clients.Presentation skills for project proposals, updates, and final deliverables.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license is required (Soil Evaluator is a plus).Work Environment

The work environment is a combination of office work (design and documentation) and on-site fieldwork (construction monitoring). There will be interaction with multidisciplinary teams, including surveyors, architects, and environmental consultants. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00
