Civil Engineer

Description

•\tTechnical site engineering for commercial, industrial, governmental, and aviation projects.

•\tPrepare drawing packages for all stages of projects from initial concept, studies, site plan, and client approval, through permitting, bidding, & construction.

•\tDevelop drawing packages utilizing AutoCAD & Civil 3D for geometric layout, grading, drainage, underground utilities, and details.

•\tReview local zoning ordinances to develop site layouts and meet special requirements.

•\tDesign site grading, pavement, landscaping, and site utilities (storm, sanitary, water) in accordance with local, state, & federal standards.

•\tReview and incorporate client specific design standards to projects.

•\tCoordinate civil site design with other disciplines, both within the firm and partnering consultants, to meet project deliverables.

•\tAssist in preparation of project specification manuals.

•\tAssist in preparation of cost estimates for client budgeting and plan review fees.

•\tAssist in obtaining permits through federal, state, county, & local Authorities Having Jurisdiction for storm, sanitary, water main, SESC, and floodplain work.

•\tAssist in review of RFI’s, contractor submittals, and shop drawings.

•\tAnalyze and format topographic survey data.

•\tDevelop and maintain CAD standards and templates.

•\tClient interface as part of the team.

•\tSite visits for field measurements & inspections.

•\tPreparation of technical reports & engineering studies.

•\tPreparation of proposals and RFP’s.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVES:

Bachelors in Civil Engineering

3 plus years of experience within land development

Civil 3D skills

AutoCAD skills

BONUS:

PE

Project Management skills

Government, Commercial, aviation, and/or Industrial project experience

Experience Level

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00
