Job Description: In our Civil Engineering department, adventure awaits as we tackle an exhilarating array of projects in land development. From building essential infrastructure to crafting breathtaking parks and trails, our team pushes boundaries and sparks change. Key Responsibilities:

Spend time on assigned projects, particularly those of interest.Design in AutoCAD Civil 3D.Design utilities, pipes, drainage systems, curbs, ramps, corridors, sidewalk extensions, bike pathways, etc., depending on projects.Collaborate with other disciplines, usually the landscape architecture team and survey team.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.5+ years of experience within Civil Engineering, specifically using AutoCAD Civil 3D for design work pertaining to either public or private project work.On track to obtain professional licensure (EIT/PE) is strongly preferred.Familiarity with design elements such as utilities, pipes, drainage systems, curbs, ramps, corridors, sidewalk extensions, bike pathways, etc.Experience in both public and private sector work is a plus.Strong desire to grow within a thriving Civil Engineering Department.

Compensation:

Engineer II: $39.46 – $46.25 per hour.

Environment: Each office has its own unique setup, ranging from small pods of desks to open layout environments. Team members typically sit directly with their teams, and projects are spread across Southern California, requiring occasional site visits.

Culture: The office culture is highly valued, with a focus on maintaining a positive and cohesive environment. We are selective about new hires to ensure they fit well with the team. The department is managed by professionals known for their professional yet laid-back approach.

Schedule: The typical work schedule is 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, with a hybrid schedule that includes 2-3 days at home, depending on the hiring manager's decision. During the summer, there is an alternative schedule with half-day Fridays. New hires usually work in the office Monday to Friday for the first few months, with the primary in-office days being Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Team: The team consists of roughly 28 Civil employees in total.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87360.00 - $98800.00
