Job Description: Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Albany, NY

Overview: Join our dynamic team to support a significant railway project in Albany, involving the drilling of a natural gas pipeline below the railroad. This role requires overseeing drilling activities, ensuring the suitability of soil and rock for drilling, and participating in various field assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee drilling activities and ensure the soil/rock is suitable for drilling.Lead or participate in field assignments, including geotechnical construction observation.Conduct construction observation and special inspections.Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and team members.Availability for weekend and overtime work; limited overnight and interstate travel may be required.

Required Skills:

Bachelors degree in Geotechnical or Civil EngineeringExperience with Soil sampling and testingExperience with Sample analysisExperience with Data collection and analysisConstruction oversightProficiency in AutoCAD

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
