Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking two Civil Engineers with expertise in Transportation and Storm Water Engineering. The selected individuals will collaborate with Lead Project Managers on municipal and other public work projects. This position offers the opportunity to advance into a Project Management role or remain in a production capacity. Candidates do not need to be a Professional Engineer (PE), but those aiming for a Project Manager role must have or be willing to pursue their PE.

ResponsibilitiesPerform quantity calculations and design computations.Design geometric transportation infrastructure.Develop roadway designs and follow INDOT processes and procedures.Design traffic signals and lighting.Create drainage designs, including pipe sizing, inlet spacing, culvert design, and permitting.Coordinate utilities.Observe and monitor construction for compliance with contract documents and approved shop drawings.Record field observations and verify contractor's quality control.Make field measurements, computations, and records of acceptable work.Prepare and maintain project records according to standards.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.4+ years of experience in Transportation Engineering or Water Resources Engineering.Ability to obtain PE within a year (candidates with PE are highly preferred).Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Familiarity with local and state government regulations and standards.Work Environment

The company is a WBE business located in downtown Indianapolis, offering a small and casual office environment. The team is a tight-knit group of professionals working on diverse transportation, storm water/wastewater, and construction inspection projects throughout Indiana. The office suite is modern and comfortable, with a laid-back atmosphere. While project deadlines need to be met, the environment is not overly corporate or stuffy. The typical work schedule is first shift with flexible start times between 7 AM and 9 AM, working 40-50 hours per week. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $75.00/hr.
