Our Civil Engineering Transportation Team in the Sacramento area, based in our Roseville office, is seeking a talented and experienced Civil Engineer Designer specializing in Transportation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join Psomas and contribute to impactful projects.\n

As a Civil Engineer Designer you will work on transportation engineering projects in the Roseville\/Sacramento area. Typical projects include active transportation, transit, and roadway\/highway projects for clients such as the Cities of Sacramento and Roseville, Caltrans, and the Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT).\n
\n

Your responsibilities as a Civil Engineer Designer will include executing technical tasks related to transportation and infrastructure for public works projects, supporting project teams with design services, and participating in research, engineering studies, and design efforts. Specific areas of focus include roadway and highway design, transit, bike and pedestrian facilities, drainage and water quality design, utility coordination, and transportation-related reports. You will also attend client meetings, preparing notes and exhibits as required.\n

Minimum qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, at least two years of experience in civil engineering design with an agency or consulting firm with a focus on transportation projects, and proficiency in software such as AutoCAD. Familiarity with AASHTO, Caltrans, and local municipality design standards is essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred qualifications include an NCEES FE (E.I.T.) certification and experience with Civil3D, MicroStation, and OpenRoads software.\n
