The Architectural Designer/ Registered Architect will be primarily responsible for all technical aspects of design production, as well as oversight and managing construction documents. In addition to acting as the main point of contact for project technical questions, the candidate will also work closely with MEP/Structural teams, serving as the primary liaison in coordinating project deliverables.
Responsibilities Include:
Produce complete set of through and accurate construction documents both based on prototype design templates and one-off projects often with quick turnarounds and tight deadlines
Integrate an understanding of materials and methods into construction documents, with a focus on metal stud, masonry and steel construction, in order to produce accurate and viable construction details.
Review and implementation of applicable codes and regulations, within a wide variety of jurisdictions.
Formulate space planning and Schematic Design solutions to meet client needs, budget and specification requirements
Integrate an understanding of MEP and structural systems into construction documents, in order to coordinate work fully with Architectural design
Update documents as required to integrate internal quality control and supervisor redmarks, client-driven changes and changes required by the AHJ.
Provide assistance with Construction Administration Process, including review of Shop Drawings and RFIs
Required Experience for Architectural Designers:
5+ years’ experience with the production of commercial architecture projects
Experience compiling a set of construction documents in Revit and AutoCAD
Excellent writing and communication skills
Designing/updating projects in Revit
Required Experience for Registered Architects:
8+ years’ experience with commercial/retail/industrial production design
RA Licensure
Experience with construction administration
Experience designing/updating projects in Revit
Experience mentoring junior staff members
