Civil Engineer P.E.
Actalent is currently seeking a Professionally Licensed Civil Engineer for an Oregon based company. This position will be fully remote.Job Description

As a Civil Engineer, you will leverage your experience in site/civil land development engineering and permitting to act as a point of contact with client personnel. You will support the project manager with project management tasks and mentor team members. Experience in oil and shale gas operations, energy sector facilities, or similar industries is beneficial. Experience in industrial railroad design and/or industrial plant site development is also advantageous. You will work on projects that include large oil & gas, manufacturing, chemical facilities, pulp & paper, utilities, private marine & ports, and carbon capture projects with budgets ranging from $10M to $50M.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate and direct the drafting and design of civil engineering elements, including performing your own drafting and design with CAD software as necessary.Prepare technical writing for incorporation into reports and proposals.Understand and incorporate local, state, and federal land use and environmental laws and requirements relevant to civil engineering projects.Perform site/civil land development engineering, including site layout, access, roadways and pavement, minor channelization, grading, survey incorporation, Stormwater management, containment design and calculations, and underground structures.Support the project manager with subcontracted vendors and estimating costs and scheduling for civil engineering and design scopes of work.Assist with project permitting efforts and interact with municipal agencies and permitting groups.Work closely with and assist other engineering disciplines in support of projects.Travel approximately 5-10% of the time throughout the Pacific Northwest.Essential SkillsBS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution and PE license.6+ years of experience in site/civil land development engineering and permitting, including land development planning, permitting, stormwater management, and infrastructure design.Strong technical skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication and management skills.Demonstrated ability to work with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies.Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead a team with energy and enthusiasm.Interest in continuous improvement of personal and team skill-set.Familiarity with MS Project, Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with client interface is desired.Ability to develop creative solutions to clients' unique problems.Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of application as the company does not sponsor employment visas.Work Environment

This is a 100% remote position within a collaborative environment. You will follow a 9/80 work schedule, allowing every other Friday off. Banked hours worked over 80 in a two-week period are accounted for and can be paid out quarterly. At the end of the year, engineers are compensated for all remaining PTO over 40 hours, and 40 hours of PTO rolls over to the next year. Time spent traveling on the plane is also accounted for. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

- Permanently 100% remote
- Performance based bonuses paid out at the end of the year
- 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off
- Banked hours - any hours worked over 80 in a 2 week period goes into \"the bank\". Engineers have the option to be paid for that at the end of each quarter. At the end of the year, engineers also will be compensated for all remaining PTO over 40 hours.
- 40 hours of PTO rolls over to the next year
