Civil Engineer Sr.

Water Quality Protection team is looking for a senior engineer with strong technical capabilities to support the Water Quality Engineering & Planning program. The program implements water quality protection ordinances through comprehensive plan reviews and inspections for new developments and dredging projects in the Highland Lakes region. This position plays a meaningful role in protecting the water supply for more than a million people. You will be trusted to:

- Provide expert-level mentorship on the technical requirements of LCRA’s watershed and dredging ordinances to staff and customers.
- Coordinate technical reviews that ensure projects achieve compliance with LCRA rules and are permitted in a timely manner.
- Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturer specifications for structural and non-structural best management practices.
- Collaborate and interact with staff and customers on stormwater management and permitting issues.

You qualify with:

- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas plus eight or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including providing technical leadership in engineering.  
- Driver's license
