**Civil Engineer (Substation Design)** Location **Portland** Job Code **17431** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=17431) **Civil Engineer (Substation Design)** **Job Summary** POWER Engineers is seeking a motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our Power Delivery Pacific Civil Structural Substation Department in Lake Oswego, Oregon. This role focuses on engineering design for electrical substations. **Responsibilities** + All aspects of substation civil design including permitting support, site layout, grading design, stormwater analysis, survey coordination, and civil construction inspection + Development of civil construction specifications, cost estimates, engineering proposals, and project schedules + Support of substation physical design and equipment layout + Occasional travel will be required **Required Education/Experience** + BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering) degree from an accredited college + 4+ years civil design experience + AutoCAD 2015 or newer, and Civil 3D experience + Mechanical reasoning skills and attention to detail + Strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel + Legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without the need for work sponsorship. **Desired Education/Experience** + MicroStation Inroads design experience + Ability to perform calculations to size culverts, ditches, and retention/detention facilities using stormwater modeling software + Professional Engineering license (PE) or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date and ability to obtain licensure in multiple states At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
