Role Description:
Arcadis seeks a Civil Engineer with water/wastewater experience to join our Resilience Water team in Western NY. This position may report to our Buffalo, NY or Rochester, NY office location.
In this role, you will work alongside senior-level engineers and project managers to grow your expertise and technical knowledge of water and wastewater treatment design & construction engineering. You will be a critical member of our team and be expected to support the proven reputation of excellence in Client Management/Development along with executing projects and managing project pursuits within the municipal Water/Wastewater market of this region
Role Accountabilities:
This role supports projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction phases of water/wastewater treatment plants, stormwater systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations. In this role, you will develop construction documents, and technical specifications, and provide engineering services during construction.
Additional responsibilities include:
Preparing detailed engineering calculations & analysis Completing design tasks within budget and on schedule Preparing scopes of work, cost estimates, and other project documentation Supporting the work of others and mentoring entry-level engineers Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards Traveling (up to 25%) for project site visits, site inspections, client meetings, etc.Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field 2 years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater fieldKey Skills and Attributes:
Flexible to work with a variety of project teams locally and across remote offices Experience in the development of project drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, and cost estimates Project experience including the design and construction of water and wastewater treatment facilities; focused on expansion, rehabilitation, and retrofit is a plus Leadership experience; including managing project delivery expectations, prioritization of tasks, and mentoring Experience or desire for a client-facing role with skills to include preparation and development of proposals, managing client expectations, and overall relationship.Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Engineering or an MBA EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months 4 years of progressively responsible experience Active participation in regional (local/state) and/or national professional associationsWhy Arcadis?

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $105,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
