From bridge and structural engineering to civil, electrical, mechanical, and process engineering, Kleinfelder's collaborative Design Services create synergy across multiple disciplines.     Step into Your New Role  Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineering intern or Co-Op student to join our growing southeast engineering team for Summer 2025.  The ideal candidates will participate in and contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects and services in our team-oriented environment.  The role will be office based in our Raleigh office.  Under the direction of experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to Solar, Oil & Gas, Land Development, and other engineering projects.  Responsibilities would include: Under supervision and working with experienced staff, the successful candidates will complete civil engineering designs and the generation of construction plans and specifications, technical calculations, exhibits and reports in the following areas: Utilize CAD and Civil 3D including alignments, profiles and grading features to produce engineered construction plans and sheet set upsBasic understanding of Site Grading & Storm Drainage, Erosion and Sediment Control and Storm Water Best Management Practices with strong desire to learn and an interest in civil engineering designWork in conjunction with civil engineers and project leaders to develop engineering designsFollow project schedules and allotted hours by Project managerFollow internal and/or client procedures and standardsAttention to detail, strong problem-solving and excellent written and verbal communication skills.Willingness to learn and grow technical and project management skillsAbility to work as a team player, take direction, and interact well with others Minimum Qualifications:Enrolled in an accredited program for civil engineering and actively pursuing completion of degree;Basic knowledge and experience using AutoCAD is required.  Proficiency with Civil 3D is a plus  Move Forward with Kleinfelder Kleinfelder has been connecting great people to the best work since 1961.
