Your Key Responsibilities

Perform work on transportation facility projects and studies that include roadways, intersections, bikeways/trails, sidewalks, highways, interchanges, structures, and railways. Provide technical assistance to the transportation team in areas of design, analysis, and public outreach. Perform tasks that include research, CAD drafting, calculations, data management, quantity take-offs, and technical writing. Assist with the development of deliverables such as drawings/plans, displays, and cost estimates. Maintain adherence to project schedules and milestones. Participate in field investigations as needed.

Strong communication, technical writing, and critical thinking skills. Commitment to client satisfaction, as well as team and personal growth. Professional, ethical, positive, organized, proactive, and adaptable approach to challenges. Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines, work independently, think clearly, have organized thoughts, and draw logical conclusions. Prior internship/co-op experience considered but not required. Familiarity with CAD programs and drafting experience. Familiarity with transportation design manuals, standards, and procedures, such as the AASHTO Green Book and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Education and Experience 

Completion of junior year coursework within a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Civil Engineering degree program from an accredited college or university.  Concentration in transportation coursework preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint), Adobe, and Bluebeam
