We are actively seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Project Manager to bolster our dynamic Land Development group. In this role, you will collaborate with a talented team of professionals, driving comprehensive site/civil engineering solutions for a diverse portfolio of public and private projects. From intricate urban infill developments to expansive ski resorts and residential/commercial complexes, you will lead in designing cutting-edge grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater systems. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on projects that shape communities and industries across the region.
Responsibilities
Work within an integrated team of engineers, environmental scientists, and landscape architects to develop site/civil engineering plans and specifications for a wide range of public and private projects with a focus on sustainability and resiliencyPrepare design plans from schematic design through construction documents, prepare permit applications and supporting materials, and write technical report.Assist in the preparation of permitting, design, and construction documentsManage tasks and projects and monitor project financial performanceEngage in business development and client relations-building activitiesAttend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issuesMentor junior team membersSupervise, plan and coordinate work activities with the Land Development teamSkills and Attributes
Ability to think critically and creatively in a team-focused environmentExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsSkilled in project and client relationship managementExperience preparing graphics and mapsGIS, HydroCAD, and StormCAD experience a plusSelf-motivatedAttention to detailQualifications
BS in Civil Engineering (a master’s degree may be substituted for 1-2 years of experience)8-11 years of professional site/civil engineering experience required, including consulting/private sector experience11+ years’ experience preferredPE license requiredAutoCAD Civil 3D experienceWe are VHB!
