Civil Engineering Technician
Job Title: Civil Technician / Land SurveyResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed and accurate reports of test results.Communicate findings to project managers, engineers, and clients.Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Document the testing of concrete, soil, and other construction materials in the field.Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for testing at each construction site.Start the day at the office to pick up the necessary equipment.Commute to the construction site to conduct sampling.Use various equipment, including concrete testing tools, wheelbarrow and shovel, air meter, slump cone, and nuclear density gauge.Collect data from WisDOT and civil projects.Record data using handwritten notes and enter it into spreadsheets.Return all equipment and documentation to the office at the end of the day.Essential SkillsField experience in construction.Understanding of construction sites, including contractors, safety hazards, and equipment.Experience with Civil 3D or PLS CADDAbility to produce handwritten field reports.Basic technology skills for using spreadsheets and other data collection equipment.Effective communication with contractors, owner's representatives, engineers, and other stakeholders.Strong attendance and punctuality.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociate's in Civil Engineering or related field

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
