Job Description
This is a direct hire permanent position with full benefits. We are seeking a Civil Estimator with a strong experience in heavy civil construction and estimating experience for our main office in Phoenix. The ideal candidate will assist our two chief estimators with various tasks and will play a key role in providing civil, below-grade construction estimates.
ResponsibilitiesAssist two chief estimators with quantity take-offsReview and summarize projects for biddingPrepare and manage bid packagesAttend pre-bid job walk meetings and site investigationsPrepare labor, equipment, and material project estimatesProcure subcontractor/bidManage RFI during bid periodManage cost controlsPrepare resource-driven project schedules as per client’s requestAssist project managers in preparing change order requestsMaintain subcontractor relationsDeliver high-quality and competitive bid analysisEssential Skills2-6 years of civil construction experienceSome experience in the field and exposure to estimatingCivil experience including concrete and dirt workSelf-perform estimating experienceProficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, and TeamsAdditional Skills & QualificationsElectrical/utility experienceExperience with web-based estimating software like Procore or ProestBachelor's Degree in Construction ManagementWork Environment
This position will be approximately 80% in the office and 20% in the field. Field visits will be within Arizona, with no travel outside the state. The candidate will report to two chief estimators, who will provide training in estimating as needed. A company vehicle will be provided. The Chief Civil Estimator is based in Omaha, NE, while the Chief Electrical Estimator is local to Phoenix.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $83200.00 - $110000.00
Raises are given in June each year. Merit increases are based on employee performance. Increases may also be given if an employee was given a goal to achieve throughout the year and they completed it prior to the yearly increase.
Bonuses are based on reaching company budget goals for the year. Employees are given a % based on their salary if the target is met by the company.
Company vehicle is provided.
