Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Materials Construction Inspector with 5-10 years of inspection experience. The ideal candidate will have a experience in inspection materials related to soils, pavement, or concrete. Municipal experience is preferred. The position involves working on a large project in Apache Junction, making it a plus if the candidate lives in or near the area to reduce daily commute times.
ResponsibilitiesPerform routine field inspections to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.Monitor, observe, and record daily work performed.Attend various project-related meetings as needed.Resolve construction field conflicts.Follow safety rules and practices for all projects.Maintain and care for all company-issued equipment and vehicles.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAbility to work independently with little or no supervision.Valid driver's license and reliable driving record.Professional oral and written communication skills.Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.Proficiency in using a company-provided computer or tablet for entering data.Willingness to learn and adapt to changes.High School Diploma or equivalent.Ability to work outdoors, especially in Arizona summer temperatures.A can-do attitude and willingness to work overtime.Additional Skills & Qualifications1-2 years of experience in a construction-related field.Experience working on civil infrastructure projects.OSHA 10-hour construction safety certificate.Great communication skills and basic computer skills.Strong people skills.Work Environment
The position is based out of our Phoenix office. The work involves outdoor activities, especially under the Arizona summer temperatures. The role may require overtime, and candidates should be comfortable with standing and walking for extended periods. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
