Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Civil team for Aviation projects based in Chicago, Illinois.
EXP is currently seeking a talented Civil Intern, Aviation for the Chicago market. The candidate will learn and perform diversified civil engineering work under direct supervision of a senior civil engineer. The projects will be with major airports across the United States. Candidate must be able to work within a team environment and have good communication skills.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
Assist with Airfield geometry and Airfield pavement design Airfield lighting and signage Utility installation and relocation Airport access roads and security facilities Landside transportation facilities Assist with contract documents, specifications, reports, and detailed cost estimates Construction administration
What your experience looks like
Studying Civil Engineering with 2+ years of related study Knowledge with AutoCAD, Civil3D or Microstation Good oral and written communication skills Organizational and time management skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work in a team environment
The pay rate for this role is $20 - $25 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
