Civil Land Development Engineer
OVERVIEW Merrick is seeking a Civil Engineer l with 0-4 years of Civil Engineering experience for our Greenwood Village, CO office. On a case by case basis, Merrick offers a hybrid work environment with the flexibility to work from home and in the office. Typical salary range for this position is $66,200.00 - $83,700.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. WHAT YOU'LL DO Professional judgment on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of alternatives. Ability to exercise initiative, judgment and knowledge as required in areas of responsibility. Application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of tasks. Prepare working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and work products. Receive close supervision on new aspects of assignments as required. Supervisor will be available to screen assignments and to suggest techniques and procedures to be used on non-routine work. Use prescribed methods, performs specific and limited portions of broader assignments of experienced level person. May be assisted by other technicians or administrative personnel. May coordinate with the work of others who assist in specific assignments. Interface with client, and Federal, Local and State government contacts on land development and municipal projects. Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality. Some travel may be required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Degree Requirements: Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program. Must have zero (0) – four (4) years of experience in Civil Engineering. Must be capable of performing independent design tasks and organizing drawings while receiving limited supervision after receiving initial instructions from supervisor. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer- in-Training (EIT) certification. Recent experience with Municipal and Land Development work. Recent demonstrable experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Applicable internship experience.
