In this role, you will work with experienced engineers on telecommunications and utility projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience in the utility engineering industry.   Job Activities: Support telecommunication and utility related project development Complete site visits including but not limited to surveying, locating, and documenting existing conditions (may include overnight travel depending on job location) Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities Design telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software Specific Requirements include: BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, from an ABET accredited institution 0-3 years of experience Exposure to transportation plans, telecommunications, or utilities a plus Engineer in Training (EIT) certification a plus Computer proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation a plus Must demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license About Farnsworth Group Farnsworth Group is an award winning, employee-owned engineering, architecture, and surveying firm with more than 500 employees located in nearly 30 offices nationwide.
