Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to manage land development plans, stormwater management, water and sanitary sewer projects, and soil erosion and sediment control designs. The role requires managing multiple projects, ensuring quality control, obtaining regulatory agency permits, preparing proposal scopes and budgets, and overseeing financial management including invoice preparation and accounts receivable. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling projects, managing client relationships, and hiring, mentoring, and training new staff to build a successful Civil/Site team.
ResponsibilitiesManage land development plans, stormwater management, water and sanitary sewer projects, and soil erosion and sediment control designs.Handle multiple projects and workloads with competing deadlines.Ensure quality control of all projects.Obtain necessary permits from regulatory agencies.Prepare proposal scopes and budgets.Oversee financial management, including invoice preparation and accounts receivable.Schedule projects to ensure successful completion.Manage client relationships and acquire new clientele.Hire, mentor, and train new staff to build a successful Civil/Site team.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in civil engineering.10+ years of site design experience.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Knowledge of local city, county, and state land use processes and regulations in TN.Proficiency in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analyses, grading, and other site development-related designs.Proficient in AutoCAD.Valid driver's license.Ability to read, write, and understand English.Additional Skills & QualificationsConstruction oversight experience is a plus.Work Environment
The work environment includes managing various projects with a focus on land development and stormwater management. The candidate will use technical tools such as AutoCAD and work under regulatory guidelines. The role involves client interactions, financial management tasks, and training of new staff. A valid driver's license is required for site visits.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $141000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
