Job Title: Civil Project Engineer
Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Civil Project Engineer to design and manage all aspects of engineering projects. This role involves designing layouts, grading, earthwork, storm drains, septic systems, sanitary sewers, water systems, stormwater management, and erosion/sediment control. You will perform field investigations to determine existing conditions, prepare agency design submission packages, participate in permitting, and complete as-constructed/as-built drawings. Additionally, you will interpret and apply federal, state, and local codes, draft technical specifications, and occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings.

ResponsibilitiesDesign all aspects of engineering projects including layout, grading, earthwork, storm drain, septic, sanitary sewer, water, stormwater management, and erosion/sediment control.Perform field investigations to determine existing conditions.Prepare agency design submission packages for reviews and approvals.Participate in permitting and the completion of as-constructed/as-built drawings.Interpret and apply all applicable federal, state, and local codes.Draft technical specifications.Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings.Essential SkillsMinimum of 7 years of relevant design experience in the site-civil engineering field.Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.EIT Certification, with PE preferred but not required.BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in site design, site layout, grading, erosion control, sediment control, drainage, wastewater, land development, water resources, and stormwater design.Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred).Work Environment

This role can be fully remote for the right candidate. The in-office environment is team-oriented with a strong family feel, featuring a number of team outings both inside and outside the office. The office has a high retention rate and offers plenty of room for career growth. Contractors receive 2 weeks of PTO in addition to 6 paid holidays, ensuring they are treated as full-time employees. The office is located in Hunt Valley, close to many restaurants, and currently has a small team with plans to expand rapidly.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00
