Civil Project Engineer Job Description Seeking civil engineers with a minimum EIT certification, though PE certification is preferred. Candidates will prepare construction design drawings of mine infrastructure such as tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, and waste storage facilities. They will use Civil 3D for design and will also prepare specifications and engineering reports. Responsibilities + Prepare design drawings and specifications for mine infrastructure projects, including tailings storage facilities, heap leach pads, stormwater management, and roadways. + Conduct field construction inspections, geotechnical testing, and drilling. + Write design reports and perform engineering analyses. + Interface with clients and collaborate with the internal team. + Support design and construction activities through field inspections. Essential Skills + Civil engineering experience + Proficiency in Civil 3D + Experience with site development, grading, civil design, drainage, site planning, and site design + Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D + Experience in land development, civil site design, civil engineering design, wastewater, stormwater design, and erosion control + Excellent written and oral communication skills + Ability to meet deadlines and resolve issues promptly Additional Skills & Qualifications + Possess a civil PE certification + Ability to communicate professionally internally and externally + Willingness to work in a highly collaborative team environment + Positive attitude and ability to work independently as well as part of a team Work Environment The work schedule includes being in the office 3 days a week. The position may require domestic and international travel to project sites, with travel not exceeding 30%. It involves sitting for long periods and extended work on a computer. Fieldwork may expose candidates to various climates and require standing, squatting, bending, and lifting up to 30 lbs for extended periods. A company phone and computer are provided.
