Facilities Project Manager

Summary: The Water/Wastewater Project Manager will support and lead water and wastewater projects in the Chicago area which include planning, designing, and preparing plans related to water and wastewater infrastructure which may be comprised of water conveyance and sewage collection systems, pump stations, reservoirs, hydraulic structures, and water/wastewater treatment facilities.   Job Responsibilities: • Manages one or more moderately complex design projects, involving coordination of multiple engineering disciplines, consultants and/or various agencies. • May manage all phases of projects (from beginning to close out). • Manages the schedule and budget of projects. • Coordinates and communicates project progress with clients. • Facilitates and resolves project issues and scope changes with design team and client. • Works mostly independently but receives basic instruction on specific assignments, objectives, complex features and possible solutions. • Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans for projects. • Involves occasional field work at facilities related to design and construction projects • May supervise other engineering and technical staff   Qualifications: BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree with 15+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Professional Engineer (PE) registration and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Significant project management experience of multi-discipline design engineering teams for improvements at large industrial, municipal or water/wastewater facilities Excellent oral and written communication skills: articulate, assertive and confident Creative thinker with effective teamwork skills   We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all of the job requirements.
