Job Description
We are seeking an experienced level Engineer to join our established team in Southeastern Virginia, based in our Virginia Beach office. As a Civil Project Manager, you will play a key role in growing our business in the solid waste management industry or real estate markets within the region. This position is ideal for a growth-oriented professional ready to lead and manage projects effectively.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage projects in the solid waste management industry or real estate markets.Oversee land development projects including groundwater monitoring, air compliance, hydrogeology, site development, storm water management, drainage, and grading.Coordinate and collaborate with a team of engineers (6-15 team members depending on project needs).Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for project planning and execution.Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.Conduct hydrogeologic investigations and soil and groundwater remediation.Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and Brownfield Redevelopment projects.Essential Skills7-10 years of experience in solid waste management and/or land development.Professional Engineer (PE) license (Virginia preferred, but out-of-state licenses acceptable).Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.Strong project management experience with the ability to lead a team.Expertise in groundwater monitoring, air compliance, hydrogeology, site development, storm water management, drainage, and grading.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with environmental compliance and air permitting.Knowledge of liquids management issues.Ability to handle environmental compliance reporting.Environmental consulting and contracting.Work Environment
This is an in-office position with the option for a hybrid work schedule. You will work normal business hours in a team environment, reporting to the Project Director. The Virginia Beach office consists of six employees, with the potential to manage 10-15 engineers depending on project needs. Projects include landfill work in Virginia Beach, with significant clients such as the Regional Solid Waste Management Authority. Our organization is employee-owned with a flat hierarchy system, offering stock shares to employees based on salary, and a variety of other benefits.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00
