Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a skilled Civil Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team in Cape Town. As a Civil Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing costs and contractual matters on various construction projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering projects and possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects Conducting quantity take-offs and measurements Managing and controlling project costs, including tracking and reporting on cost variations Preparing and analysing tender and contract documents Sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers Providing advice on contractual claims and settlement of final accounts Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering projects Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction processes and materials Experience or capability to manage a civil project with values of R200 million Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Effective communication and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively in a team and meet project deadlines Experience in both GCC and FIDIC forms of contracts would be an advantage
