Civil Rights Compliance Consultant
This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a **Civil Rights Compliance Consultan** t for our Los Angelas Office. The following locations will also be considered: **Denver, CO, Portland, OR, Seattle, WA, Washington, DC, St Louis, MO.** Be involved in projects with our **Advisory & Planning Services Project Development team** and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. Your Impact + Expanding WSP in the US Advisory & Planning Services to include Civil Rights Advisory and Compliance services focused on alternative delivery procurements, contract administration and policy development. This new Civil Rights Advisory Services focus will include: + Civil Rights Advisory Services (ADA, EEO, DBE, Title VI) + Civil Rights/Diversity Contract Compliance + City, State and Local Program Compliance + Labor & EEO Workforce Diversity Compliance + Public Involvement & Community Outreach + Identifying additional markets where WSP can offer Civil Rights advisory and /or compliance services to compliment current and future services offered by WSP’s **Alternative Delivery Advisory & Planning Services (ADAS)** as well as other WSP units on equitable outcomes for infrastructure projects and entities involved in the delivery of infrastructure projects. + Assisting WSP to leverage Civil Rights Advisory and Compliance services to enhance the diversity and inclusion platform of WSP and support efforts to add key experienced professionals for an increase in the depth of WSP’s ADAS capabilities. + Leveraging Civil Rights Advisory and Compliance Services to strengthen WSP’s broader market presence as a champion and expert advisor for civil rights program management and compliance services. + Assisting with the incorporation of diversity/civil rights (including DBE) and labor compliance provisions appropriate to alternative delivery projects into associated pre-procurement and procurement documents, including, for example, Requests for Information, Requests for Qualifications, and Requests for Proposals. + Collaborating in a teaming environment with other members of project teams for the successful procurement of alternative delivery projects, including interacting with, and providing appropriate technical advice to engineers, investment bankers, financial analysts, legal counsel, and internal-client procurement teams. + Developing strategies for effective monitoring and enforcement of diversity/civil rights (including DBE) and labor compliance during alternative delivery project implementation, and setting up the process for agencies to implement these strategies over the life of a project. + Advising project managers with respect to potential ongoing issues related to monitoring and enforcement of diversity/civil rights (including DBE) and labor compliance during alternative delivery project implementation. Who You Are **Required Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in relevant field + 3-5 Yeas of direct experience with project contracting and/or alternative project delivery. + Strong written and oral communication skills + Active engagement in relevant industry organizations + Strong interpersonal skills and high emotional IQ + Proven experience in consulting or a comparable role in developing organizational capability and performance improvement from within an organization + Hands-on leader, collaborator, and strong team player + Self-starter, who can get things done efficiently + Authorization to immediately work in the United States + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies **Preferred Qualifications** + Graduate degree in relevant field (J.D., M.B.A., M.P.A., Ph. D) + Experience on major infrastructure projectsKnowledge and application of civil rights/diversity and labor compliance requirements to alternative project delivery methods + Professional presence within civil rights/diversity compliance profession + Extensive experience working on behalf of public agencies and contractors/concessionaires to ensure civil rights/diversity compliance through development and implementation of alternative delivery projects WSP Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. Compensation: Expected Salary (all locations): $64,000 - $109,780 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. Expected Salary (Colorado only): $64,000 - $103,070 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
