Opportunity :

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil Roadway Engineer I to join our team! In this role you will get to support engineering and design of major roads and highways on both regional Northern and Central California  projects, as well as national design build projects throughout the USA on a national basis.

We are seeking a Roadway Engineer with 3 years or more experience supporting design engineering projects on major interstate highway systems, inclusive of interchanges and arterial rampways.   Do you enjoy being involved on a wide variety of civil engineering tasks on large and small scale transportation projects?  In this role you will apply demonstrated experience with major interstate interchanges and accompanying rampway access arteries. Any Caltrans experience in California is highly desirable, but not required. This position can be hired at a more experienced level as well.  What you will be doing :

  

Typical products may include detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analysesA key component of this role is the ability and experience with engineering design of interstate roadway interchanges and rampway access arteries.Performs geometric design and some  3D modeling on a variety of road and highway projects for state, county, and city government, ranging from urban streets to interstate highways, utilizing Microstation and/or Autocad Civil 3D softwareProvides support for other engineering activities as required.  May supervise one or more subordinates and provide input regarding performance.May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on these projects

What experience is required :

4-year degree in Civil  Engineering (or related field) and 3 years or more  of related work experience with road and highway projects.

 More experience is highly desirable.

EIT highly preferred.



What skill you bring to this role :

Strong background in Microstation Inroads or Geopak, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D  software  is essential.Experience with Caltrans  DOT projects is a plus, but not required.  Experience designing major highway interchanges and ramps is essential

Salary Range: 

$59,300.00 - $119,700.00
