The Department’s primary mission is the diagnosis and management of psychiatric and substance use disorders in medically ill populations. The successful applicant would join a dynamic clinical team of psychiatrists, clinical health psychologists and neuropsychologists practicing in Clinic and Hospital settings. As an academic position, it would include opportunities for teaching medical students, residents, and fellows as well as engagement in clinical research. The Mayo model of care involves multi-disciplinary teams offering evidenced-based biologic and psychosocial treatments in a patient-focused, highly professional, and compassionate environment. Fellowship training and certification in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry or Addiction Psychiatry or Palliative Medicine is preferred, though not required. Our practice is exclusively outpatient apart from a hospital consultation-liaison service, which has a rotational call schedule. **\#AZLungTransplant** **Qualifications** Board-certification in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology is required. If not already board certified, achievement of certification is expected in the first three years of employment. The practice functions in two settings, an outpatient multi-specialty clinic setting at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale and Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix. The successful applicant should expect the possibility of coverage of services in both locations. There is regular contact with the psychiatric practices at other Mayo Clinic locations including Rochester, Minnesota; the Health System in Minnesota and Wisconsin; and Jacksonville, Florida. **Exemption Status** Exempt **Benefits Eligible** Yes **Schedule** Full Time **Hours/Pay Period** 80 **International Assignment** No **Site Description** Just as our reputation has spread beyond our Minnesota roots, so have our locations.
