The Opportunity:
Join our expanding team! This position is open due to the growth of both our team and our activities. We’re seeking for a Claims Handler to be part of this exciting expansion and contribute to the ongoing success of QBE.
Your new role
Investigate and resolve Claims in order to provide excellent Claims handling service with minimal leakageEnsure that estimates and billings are calculated correctly by clients and brokers and that QBE’s share has also been correctly calculatedIdentify and investigate coverage issues so as to ensure that the company’s liability is in line with its contractual commitmentsIdentify subrogation, contribution and other recovery issues and ensure that these are successfully pursued where appropriateManage disputed Claims and other material Claims issues in order to resolve and settle claims on an economic basisEnsure that Claims fees and advices are responded to within agreed timeframes to ensure good serviceProvide a professional service to brokers and clients which supports the reputation of the CompanyEnsure that base premiums have been received before making Claim paymentsWhere appropriate, ensure reinstatement premiums have been calculated correctly when making Claim paymentsRespond to internal and external stakeholder requests in accordance with service standardsFlag complaints as required and Treat Customers FairlyMaintain knowledge of the Claims Portfolio and provide information to others on request to ensure the effective monitoring of Claims to support Underwriting and Claims decisionsReserve accurately to ensure that the Company’s liability is clear at all timesEnsure accurate and timely update of the company’s systems as and when requiredDeal with MI reports when required to maintain status quo and drive down costs and leakageMaintain efficient handling of their own caseload to ensure the prompt, timely and effective handling of ClaimsAbout you

Strong Investigative Skills: Proficient in conducting thorough investigations to uncover essential details and facts.Negotiation Skills: Capable of effectively negotiating and mediating in various scenarios to achieve favourable outcomes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to nurture and manage professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office tools to streamline work processes and manage data effectively.Skilled in generating comprehensive Management Information (MI) and detailed reports across various organizational levels.Preferred Knowledge:
