Claims Administrator

This position resides in the Third Party Administration department, but Thomas McGee Group, a division of Risk Strategies, provides full client solutions including employee benefits, surety, commercial insurance and Personal insurance along with our TPA services.

This is an entry level position that provides an opportunity for growth and advancement.

As a Claims Administrator, you’ll be responsible for:Supports adjusters as part of a team that services specific accounts.Printing checks to providers and claimants and sending check registers to clients daily.Handling Medical Only claims by entering payments, reviewing and sending bills to bill review and summarizing notes from medical appointments or client/claimant contact.Review open claims and close when appropriate.Open, remove staples, identify and prepare mail for scanning by inserting barcodes for all incoming TPA claims mail and then scan and upload it to the Origami claims system.Works closely with team members to make sure all items are processed timely and e-mails and phone calls are answered promptly to assure high level of service.Handling miscellaneous tasks such as but not limited to, linking documents to claims system and assisting Senior Adjusters with approval of medical appointments.

QualificationsBachelors degree, no experience required.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).Ability to work in the Kansas City office one day a week.Strong mathematical or accounting skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills.
