Job Summary: 

The Claims Advocate provides insurance claims support and builds relationships with customers through a high level of service. This individual helps to fuel client growth through the highest level of advisory services. This role contributes to continuous process improvement and proactively works toward achieving agency and team goals. 

Responsibilities: 

Responsible for agency claim reporting by filing claims with carriers, confirming claim set-up, and providing initial claim information to clients with proper internal documentation 

Promotes and educates clients on direct reporting of claims to their carrier 

Responds to client and team telephone calls, emails, inquiries, and requests in a timely and professional manner  

Participates in internal team meetings to address developing client claim concerns and assists in the creation of a plan for resolution  

Engages in proactive communication between clients and insurance carriers 

Generates claim status reports and claim data for client meetings or at the request of the service team 

Coordinates and participates in the flow and transmission of documentation and communication in cargo, general liability, auto, and property claims with client and carrier  

Participates in the delivery of claim updates and claim reviews for clients as assigned 

Helps in the creation and update of claim deliverables 

Facilitation of claim resolution for clients  

Completes high level claim and reserve reviews  

Completes claim analysis prior to unit stat filing and provides summaries of open claims to the client team 

Assists in the creation of new client resource tools  

Additional duties as assigned  

Requirements: 

Must be comfortable in an electronic environment with strong computer skills 

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Excellent people skills and ability to maintain professionalism in a team hybrid environment 

Strong organizational skills 

Education/Experience: 

High school graduate

3 years of insurance industry experience preferred and/or AIC, CAWC or similar designation   

Physical Demands: 

Position entails sitting,  talking, writing, reading, reaching, computer entry, and typing 

Must have access to reliable mode of transportation
