Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Claims Assistant in Overland Park, Kansas. In this role, you will be performing various customer service and claims processing functions in the insurance industry.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process and register new claims
• Respond to customer service calls and effectively handle customer inquiries
• Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions and transactions
• Verify the accuracy of loss information and coverage
• Update claim files as directed by claim representatives or team leaders
• Handle loss payment registration on the system
• Provide exceptional customer service to agents, insured clients, and other customers
• Prepare all necessary loss registration forms
• Use computer systems and Windows OS to perform tasks
• Collaborate within a team environment, focusing on self-development and maintaining high standards of behavior and performance. Requirements • Proficiency in customer service, demonstrating the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external customers
• Strong data entry skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy even under pressure
• Experience in preparing and presenting reports on claim statuses and discrepancies
• Familiarity with claims operations and processes, including the ability to process payments promptly and accurately
• Comfortable answering inbound calls, providing prompt and comprehensive support to clients
• Experience in supervising teams, demonstrating the ability to lead and motivate for optimal performance
• Proficiency in using 'About Time' software for time tracking and productivity management
• Experience in claim administration, including understanding and interpreting insurance policies
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
• Familiarity with Windows OS and general computer systems
• Comfortable working onsite, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in various work settings
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise documents
• Strong keyboard skills, with the ability to type quickly and accurately
• Experience in claims processing, including understanding and applying insurance regulations and guidelines
• Ability to interact effectively with insureds, demonstrating sensitivity and understanding in handling claims
• Experience in handling registration forms, ensuring all necessary information is accurately captured
• Familiarity with Chubb insurance systems, products, and services
