Job Summary:
Strategic partner and risk advisor for all clients and service teams through a high level of service and analysis of claims data that helps shape client policies and procedures to improve overall risk management. Responsible for direct management of the Technical Claims Specialist. Proactively works toward achieving organization and team goals.
Responsibilities:
Functions as subject matter expert for claims management, risk clarity, and advisory servicesFacilitates risk management policy changes for pre & post loss processes including but not limited to:Pre hire enhanced physical setupWorkers’ compensation and modified work policy review & creation FMLA & WC compliance assistanceConducts face to face client claim reviews and quarterly strategy meetingsDesigns and implements claims specific training as neededResponsible for the overall oversight of claims processing, management and prevention for clients Acts as liaison between insurance company and insured in responding to inquiriesActs as a mediator when disagreements arise, providing follow-up with both company and insuredProactively advises Account Managers (AM) and Account Executives (AE) and Client Advisors regarding claims with special attention to the status of open filesServes as the expert to service teams and clients on claims related topics through training initiatives and publicationsResponds to customer telephone calls and office visits in a timely and professional mannerMaintains strict confidentiality and upholds applicable laws at all timesDevelops and maintains a positive working relationship with team members and clientsCorresponds with clients, prospects, and others in a professional mannerWorks to utilize the resources available such as Marketing Material, Employee Relations, Safety, Risk Management, and Process ImprovementRequirements:
Willingness to participate in self-development or technical classesStrong organizational and workflow management skillsMust be comfortable in an electronic environment with strong computer skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office ProductsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent people skills and ability to work well in a team environmentEducation/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study or equivalent relevant experienceMinimum 7 years' claims processing/analysis/advisement experience preferredActive Property & Casualty licensePhysical Demands:
