We are looking for a dedicated Claims Coordinator like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** As the Claims and Billing Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring filing and payment of employee health and safety claims, managing billing for Employee Health patients and managing billing for occupational health and safety patients. You will also assist the Accounts and Billing Manager with patient account inquiries through verbal, written, and face-to-face interactions, assist in maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable reports for occupational health and safety and employee health departments, assist in collection efforts, and serve as a back-up to the Accounts and Billing Manager when needed. + You will ensure operations and logistics of daily claim management are performed + You will ensure operations and logistics of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual billing efforts are performed + You will provide coverage for the Medical Office Specialist and Injury Care Coordinator to ensure high quality and efficient operations + You will promote customer relations + You will assist the leadership team in identifying process improvement opportunities and in ensuring customer expectations are exceeded **What qualifications you will need:** Experience + Two years of experience in a business office in a medical setting + Knowledge of Texas Workers’ Compensation rules, regulations and insurance, networks and billing procedures – preferred Education + High school graduate/GED + Associate’s degree or equivalent – preferred Licenses and Certifications + Certified Professional Coder – preferred **St. David’s HealthCare (https://stdavids.com/)** , which is one of the largest healthcare systems in Texas and the third-largest employer in the Austin area.
