P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes.  IT Services can include a wide range of activities such as: software development, data management, Cloud services, IT security, network security, technical support, establishing and overseeing access rights, procuring and maintaining equipment or software, managing the infrastructure, and defining security procedures,  The overall goal of IT Services is to provide technology solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and give our company a competitive advantage over our competitors.

The Claims IT team within P&C IT Services is seeking an intern for the summer 2025.

Responsibilities:

Develop code for web apps and microservicesMaintaining and upgrading existing codebaseDesigning and developing APIs, Identify and fix bugsDeveloping front-end UI using existing design patternsWriting efficient, resuable, and reliable codeCalibrating with Product team and business partners defining requirements

Qualifications:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsPrevious experience with Java, Springboot, and JavaScriptStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience with PrimeVue or another front end library a plusFamiliarity with IntelliJ a plusUnderstanding of Test Driven Design patternsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentFamiliarity with the insurance industry is a plusDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlinesPursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics
