We have an excellent career opportunity as Claims Director in our US Global Risk Consulting (AGRC) practice. This person will lead a group of 10-12 consultants delivering claims consulting services for clients. This individual provides strategic and tactical consultation to their own clients while mentoring, developing, and leading a team. The understanding, articulation and implementation of our 3 by 3 plan is a critical function. In addition, this individual is responsible for business aspects of the consulting practice including new business development, supervising workloads, revenue, profitability, and quality assurance. The Director also contributes to Aon’s thought leadership initiatives including different processes, development of new service products, coaching to industry group leaders under this person's management. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Account Service Maintain a book of service work, providing direct client service fulfillment (with a billable target of hours) Assign project work to balance workloads, develop staff and maintain department profitability. Business Development Respond to requests from Aon and AGRC new BD team for contributions to new business proposals. Assign new accounts including consulting and Broker Service packages to team members based on expertise, geography and/or skill sets. Market and promote Casualty Claims Consulting service offerings through presentations and communications with Aon offices and within the industry. Hire and onboard new consultants, familiarizing them with Aon systems and protocols. Mentor and educate less tenured staff and encourage senior staff to do the same. Provide quality control/peer review for renewal service plans and proposals, ensuring adherence to Aon CC model and pricing profitability. Maintain relationships with key Aon staff to align consultants’ “fit” with clients, adjusting where necessary. Monitoring time entries, renewal cycle, and utilization rate on accounts for optimal revenue and profitability. Maintain ongoing engagement of staff through regular reinforcement and constructive feedback. Thought Leadership Oversee and contribute to the Certification Process and Industry Groups as needed to promote services. Interface with Casualty Risk Control, Property Claims, and other Aon and AGRC practices to explore and develop cross-disciplinary initiatives. Actively promote new offerings, plans and certification processes Detailed Responsibilities Provide authoritative advice on coverage and appropriateness of carrier notification. Engage with highly complex clients. Work on highly complex claims. Analyze and review complex coverage issues. Conduct claims reviews. Project management Support in-depth loss analysis. Responsibility for selling Aon’s claims services to existing and potential clients Create and share with our brokers and clients claims case studies and success stories Pay Transparency Laws The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150,000-$175,000 annually. This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
