Description We are seeking a Claims Examiner based in Ossining, New York. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the health finance division. The chosen candidate will be involved in various tasks, primarily focusing on processing claims, customer service, and data management. Responsibilities: • Accurate and efficient processing of various claims, including dental, vision, and prescription claims. • Handling warranties for tools such as hearing aids. • Providing strong customer service to all clients, ensuring their queries and concerns are addressed promptly. • Using Excel for data management and organization, no pivot tables involved. • Maintaining solid working knowledge of inbound and outbound calls. • Undertaking data entry tasks to keep customer records up-to-date. • Regularly monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary. • Supporting the health finance division in various tasks as needed. • Ensuring all tasks are conducted in line with internal and external regulations. • Assisting in credit checks when required. Requirements • Applicant must possess strong customer service skills • Capable of handling both inbound and outbound calls effectively • Proficiency in data entry is necessary • Prior experience in a similar role as a Claims Examiner would be advantageous • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work • Familiarity with insurance claims and policies • Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to the job • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
