**Customer Claims Adjuster** Adecco is recruiting for a **Claims Adjuster** position in California. This is a full-time temporary opportunity, and prior experience in claims handling is required. As a **Claims Adjuster** , you will be responsible for analyzing complex workers' compensation claims, determining benefits due, managing high exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, and ensuring timely claims adjudication within service expectations and industry best practices. **What’s in this for you?** + **Remote** in CA + **Pay rate** : $50 per hour. + **Work hours** : 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. + **Professional environment** with a professional dress code. + **Opportunity to learn, grow, and advance** within the claims industry. **Qualifications:** + Must reside in the state of California. + Must hold a **California Self-Insured Certificate** . + **Claims handling experience** in California required. + **Education** : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. + **Experience** : Five (5) years of claims management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. **Responsibilities:** + Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine claim exposure. + Manage claims through action plans to ensure appropriate and timely resolutions. + Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority. + Assign appropriate reserves to claims and manage reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim. + Calculate and approve timely benefit payments and adjustments. + Prepare state filings within statutory limits. + Manage the litigation process and ensure cost-effective claims resolution. + Coordinate vendor referrals for investigation and litigation management. + Use cost containment techniques to reduce claims costs for clients. + Handle claim recoveries including subrogation, Second Injury Fund excess recoveries, and Social Security/Medicare offsets. **Additional Information:** + **Security clearance** : A background credit check will be required. + **Work environment** : This is a **remote** position in California. + **Order Type** : Manager Review / Interview (Offer Extended after interview).
