Equitable is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Employee Benefits Claims Financial Services Team Leader to join our team. This role is crucial for managing the financial aspects of group insurance disability claims, ensuring accurate calculation of benefits, and identifying and resolving overpayments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in insurance, excellent mathematical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Job Responsibilities
Calculate Benefits: Accurately calculate disability benefits for group insurance claims based on policy terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies while completing calculations.Identify Overpayments: Analyze claim data to identify overpayments and determine their causes. Collaborate with claims adjusters and other departments to rectify overpayments.Claims Management: Maintain detailed records of all calculations and communications related to claims.Communication: Communicate with policy holders, employers and/or internal teams to resolve discrepancies in claim calculations. Provide clear explanations of calculations and overpayment resolutions to impacted parties.Leadership: Leads internal resources and oversees the work performed by external partners/vendors.Performs other duties as assigned.The base salary range for this position is $50,000-$80,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Ability to maintain a vision for future state improvements and the roadmap to achieve them.
Product and Vendor Oversight: Expertise in product and vendor relationships and oversight. Skilled in building relationships with Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and claims financial vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and compliance with regulatory standards.
