This role will provide support and assistance to leadership in the coordination of insured litigation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Notify claims administrator of insured litigation and provide the associated legal documents.
Notify involved team members (i.e. drivers, managers, etc.) of the litigation and provide initial guidance.
Monitor all due dates (answer, discovery, mediations, trials, etc.) and cases for resolution or defense assignment.
Gather all relevant internal file materials and route to defense counsel.
Assist leadership and defense counsel in coordinating discovery responses.
Coordinate company representatives for mediations, trials, depositions, etc.
Ensure that litigation data is accurate and current.
Provide overflow assistance and administrative support for the department.
Assist in special projects and tasks as assigned.
All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCERequired:High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
High level of proficiency with computers and office equipment
Excellent communication and organization skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Desired:2 years prior experience or formal education as a legal assistant or paralegal
