Claims Manager
**The Team** We are seeking a Claims Manager join American Tower’s Global Risk and Insurance Team. As a Claims Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end claims process for all lines of business, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, maximizing recoveries, and fostering strong relationships with insurers, brokers, legal counsel, claimants, and internal stakeholders. This role is key to ensuring American Tower maintains a robust and proactive approach to risk management while driving continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills and have a solutions-oriented approach and commitment to process improvement. **What You Need to Succeed** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in business, insurance, law, or a related field preferred. + Between 4–6 years of claims management experience, preferably handling multi-line claims in an international corporate or insurance environment, required. + Expertise in negotiating and settling claims across various business lines and jurisdictions. + Strong knowledge of insurance policies, claims-handling best practices, and legal/regulatory requirements. + Ability to travel up to 10% depending on business needs, which may occur sporadically and with limited advanced notice + Proficiency in claims management systems and MS Office applications. + Familiarity with risk management platforms preferred. + Highly developed analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a solutions-focused mindset. + Project management, analytical, financial, telecommunications, DAS, etc., experience. + Approximately 10% travel may be required to support the position’s responsibilities. + Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively. + Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results. + Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment. **What You Can Offer Us** + Manage an efficient and effective claims process across all lines of business, ensuring timely handling and maximizing recoveries. This includes ensuring that reimbursements owed to American Tower arising from losses are maximized and recovered without undue delay. + Administer insurance claims and address related queries, working closely with insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, legal counsel, claimants, and internal stakeholders. + Negotiate settlements for claims nationally and internationally across lines such as property, general liability, workers’ compensation, and auto. + Maintain and enhance the computerized claims/loss recording system to support comprehensive risk analyses and reporting. + Collaborate with insurers and brokers to review and improve claims procedures, driving operational excellence. + Pursue recoveries from third parties and ensure timely resolutions. + Other duties as assigned.
