As a Claims Manager - Worker's Comp at United Rentals, you will supervise the investigation, handling, and evaluation of of workers’ compensation claims pending throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
What you'll do:
Direct, manage and control the activities of third party claims administrators.
Oversee the intake, insurance notice process, and file establishment of workers’ compensation claims. Evaluate and review the establishment of case reserves, ensure that claims data is kept in an accurate manner.
Assume active direction and investigation of serious losses.
Prepare for and conduct periodic on-site file reviews and audits at TPA field locations; document reserve changes and claim activity; develop and deliver regular reports to management regarding status, financial activity, and claim management strategies.
Assist Safety team with the investigation of workplace injuries and the assessment of OSHA recordability.

Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree preferred
Professional certification in claims, risk management or adjusters license preferred
Minimum 5 years claims handling experience
Good verbal and written communication skills
Computer competency in Microsoft Office products
Experience with Claims Mgt Info Systems
Ability to execute claims management strategy with little or no direction
