We have an opportunity for a Claim Specialist to join our Golden Valley, MN team. You will support several of Pentair’s product lines, including but not limited to water treatment products, pool and spa equipment, pumps, and commercial and residential ice machines. You will report to the Associate General Counsel, Litigation in Golden Valley, MN.
You will:
Work closely with sales and customer service teams to receive and document claims.Collaborate with internal resources and external adjusters and lawyers to investigate claims.Record and code claims data accurately and in detail.Negotiate optimal resolutions of smaller matters and coordinate with Associate General Counsel, Litigation to resolve larger matters.Identify trends in product claims and flag potential issues for follow-up by Quality and OperationsTrain sales, customer service, and quality teams on claims process and best practices for reporting and recording customer claims.Prepare reports on claim status and analyze aggregated claims data.Communicate insights to management, customer service, and finance/accounting.Review and audit work product and expenses of outside claims vendors.Understand basic insurance concepts and identify coverage based on claim facts.Establish case reserves.Key Qualifications:
Minimum three years of claims handling experienceExcellent written and oral communications skillsComfortable communicating with attorneys, claims professionals, and consumers.Capable of de-escalating tense situationsAble to work independently.Service-oriented and motivated to build relationships and gain cooperation from various departments and external partners.Having sound judgment and a calm demeanorAble to provide concise, timely customer service in a fast-paced and quickly evolving business environment.Quick learner who can handle a large docket of 300+ claims while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.Focused on providing solutions and giving recommendations to management to resolve claims.Bachelor’s Degree preferred.Experience with Risk Management software platforms preferred.Pentair is an Equal Opportunity Employer
