Aon Reinsurance is looking for a Claims Specialist This is a hybrid position, 3 days per week in the office, on site. Position Summary Assists the Claims Manager in the implementation of the corporation’s property and casualty claims management programs. Responsible for day-to-day activities of claims unit, communication of programs to business units, and departmental accounting. Role Responsibilities: Claims Management Supervise internal, general liability and auto liability claims reporting, investigation and disposition Manage and process a high volume of general liability insurance claims (Garage keeper/Property Damage), ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolution under general supervision Assist outside claims administrators (TPAs) in processing claims by gathering initial information, , contacting policyholders, and scheduling meetings Provide data input and maintain claims administrator and RMIS systems Maintain diary system and files for all claims – open to close Prepare loss runs, claims information for insurance renewals, year-end statistical claim data Conduct research and other activities for legal defense matters Attend business unit claims reviews Assist in audits of outside claims administrators for effectiveness and cost containment Support claims support requests [via ServiceNow, general email box] Communication Assist in the development and updating of a Claims Manual for management and business units Gather current and historical claims activities and large loss data for management reports Serve as a resource to business units on claims handling issues Provide new locations with claims packets for claims reporting Program Processes and Procedures Assist in the review of outside claims administrators (TPAs) for effectiveness and cost containment Assist Claims Manager in projects, other efforts Skills and experience that will lead to success: ● Education College degree, preferably with area of study in Business, Finance, or Risk Management CPCU, AIC, ARM, or ACM designation ● Experience Minimum three years in claims management Some supervisory experience ● Special Skills Strong interpersonal skills Excellent administrative and organizational skills Computer skills in Windows environment, working knowledge ofr Word, Excel, Access, Lotus Notes software, on-line claims data base systems We support our colleagues! Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted to reflect applicant’s geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
