We are seeking a National Claims Clerk to join our Birmingham office. In this role, you will provide clerical support for the customers and the adjusters.
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:
1. Provides Support for the PIP Department, supporting the PIP adjusters.
2. Handling of mail in the various systems
3. Handling time sensitive documents
4.. Provides prompt, friendly, courteous and accurate service at all times. Enters notes in claim files or e-mails messages to company personnel as appropriate to the situation.
5. Copies, files, pulls files and mails forms and letters and performs other clerical duties as assigned.
6. Performs all other duties as assigned.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND/OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be familiar with operation of general office equipment including fax machine, copy machine, etc.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills in order to represent the Company in a professional manner.
3. Must be detail oriented, accurate and use good judgment in making decisions.
4. One year of clerical experience required.
6. Familiar with medical terminology and medical bills.
7. Basic knowledge of Word or Excel.
8. Must have regular and predictable attendance
9. This is an in office job
