The Role:
Are you a claims handler looking to move into the world of liability claims?
If so, we have an exciting proposition for you! Our Simply Business team have two new vacancies which have arisen - could you be their next hire?
Simply Business, is an online broker with more than 20 Insurers on their panel. The dedicated team handle property damage, employer’s liability, public liability, personal accident, legal expenses and home emergency claims, handling claims up to £10,000 at the desk.
We are seeking individuals with either previous liability claims handling experience or from an insurance background
You`ll be dealing with Employers Liability, Public Liability and property damage claims on behalf of the panel insurers using your skills and experience to manage your own desk-top caseload, making informed decisions as well as using empathy and understanding to assess each claim on its individual merits, and taking your caseload through to settlement, aiding customers, third parties and clients.
As a Liability Claims Technician, you`ll have the ability to identify suspicious information and apply correct procedures to avoid fraudulent claims, identify and evaluate evidence. Additionally, you`ll answer routine correspondence, deal with incoming calls, issue client updates and maintain diary processes to a high standard.

You will have/be:
Experience in Employers and Public Liability and property damage claims is preferred but not essential
A keen customer service ethic
Be willing to work together as a team
A working knowledge of the Principles of Insurance is preferred but not essential
Be able to apply a thorough knowledge of current case law, statute and other legal liabilities is preferred but not essential
Understand the principle of indemnity and its application is preferred but not essential
An understanding of the FSA and how it relates to your role within the business
Good keyboard skills
Working knowledge of MS Word
